November 24, 2006 Quick Update: Steve's song "How Does It Feel" has moved up to #38 on Neil Young's Living With War Today website.
November 16, 2006 From the man himself:
I wanted to let you know about a couple of interesting developments. My song "How Does It Feel" has been added to Neil Young's really cool website, Living With War Today. We just got added last week and have already moved up to #179, and considering there are nearly 900 songs, that's pretty good. If you get a chance, drop by and check out the song from Neil's website and see if it sounds any different. There are a lot of cool songs on there; I'm honored to be in such good company.
Also, we have posted 3 short film clips on MySpace of a show we did a couple of years ago in Alexandria, Louisiana. It looks pretty good. Check it out if you are so inclined.
October 17, 2006 Straight from the horse's mouth:
If you're happy with our country's leadership and the way things are going in the world, you may not want to listen to my new song, "How Does It Feel?" It might give you a headache.
However, if you're tired of the arrogance, lies, ineptitude and divisiveness that have brought us to this sad and dangerous place in history, please listen to the song, share it with your friends, and vote for progressive candidates on November 7th.
We can change the world. Now's the time to do it.

August 15, 2006 Those Yellow Beat guys have done it again! From the people who bring you Yellow Beat Music Radio out of Japan (on which Steve's music has been featured many a time) comes "Gone Fishing for Blue Skies," a project featuring an hour of online streaming music by independent artists. The shows are updated and exchanged every Sunday, but next week's program (August 20th to 26th) will include one of Steve's tunes amidst the show's other melodic offerings. Listening to the show requires the use of the QuickTime player. Once you have that, here's the link to the show.
Happy listening!
April 20, 2006 The musical stylings of Steve Conn have been featured in a recent short film written, produced, and edited by local filmmaker Molly Secours. The 13-minute documentary, entitled "The Faces of Tenncare: Putting a Human Face on Tennessee's Health Care Failure", combines Secours' talents with those of photojournalist Joon Powell. In addition to Steve's musical contribution, the film features the vocals and music of Maura O'Connell and John Prine, as well as narration by Minton Sparks. "The Faces of Tenncare" premieres at the Nashville Film Festival this week -- stay up-to-date with these and other screenings through Molly Secours' website. For more information, quotes, and a sneak preview, visit the film's website at facesoftenncare.com.
August 8, 2005 It's baaaaaack . . . back in print, that is! A newly-remastered version of Steve's River of Madness CD is now available. It contains all of the tunes from the original disc, as well as a bonus live version of "I've Got Your Dog," recorded in 2003 at Spirits (Alexandria, Louisiana) and featuring the guitar chops of Sonny Landreth. Check out the music page for audio clips, lyrics, and other details.
January 11, 2005 It's a new year, and you know what that means . . . it's time to try something new and perhaps expand your horizons in the process. And we here at steveconn.com have the perfect opportunity for you to do just that. Tune in to Yellow Beat Radio on Friday, January 14, between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM (Central Standard Time) for a lesson in the Japanese language. Don't fret if you're a little rusty . . . this eclectic music show is broadcast bilingually (in English and Japanese).
Count yourself doubly fortunate, though, as The One and Only Steve Conn will be a featured artist on this episode, as well as another. Sources say that Steve's first segment will air around 6:25 AM on the 14th, and the second will be broadcast sometime in the same two-hour time slot on Friday, January 28. Listeners near Tokyo, Japan, can tune in via Shonan Beach FM 78.9, but the rest of us will have to listen online.

April 18, 2004 Man, it's been a long time . . . for those of you in need of another Connman fix, it's coming soon. Steve just went into the WPLN studios to tape an installment of the Songwriter Sessions along with fellow writers John Townsend and Jennifer Caine. The broadcast dates are tentatively set for Saturday, May 1, at 7 PM (CST) and Sunday, May 2, at 1 PM, and the show will also be archived for a week in streaming audio. Hang in there, and we'll be sure to let you know if the dates change.
January 16, 2004 Just further proof that Steve is turning heads with his latest release . . . the February/March 2004 issue of Dirty Linen contains yet another complimentary review of Steve Conn. Check it out sometime.
December 29, 2003 In today's issue of The Tennessean, Mr. Conn receives his well-earned spot alongside such artists as June Carter Cash, Rodney Crowell, and Darrell Scott, as his self-titled release is voted in as one of the 20 finest CDs coming out of Nashville in 2003. Get it hot off of the newsstand, or check out the full list online.
While you're at it, take a listen to a brief interview of Steve by WPLN's Andy Scheinman. As a part of Nashville Public Radio's "Playing in the Band" series, Steve talks about the keyboard and his musical influences. The conversation is archived online in streaming RealAudio.
December 13, 2003 You know, as we are in the midst of the holiday season, we here at steveconn.com would like to suggest the perfect gift for all ages -- Steve Conn! No, not the man himself (although he would look rather impressive wrapped in a bow underneath someone's tree) . . . we're talking instead of his latest recording. You have to admit that it would make a great stocking stuffer. If your faith in the U.S. Postal Service is shaky and you're in the Nashville area, Steve's CD is now available at Global Soup in Hillsboro Village and Davis-Kidd Booksellers in Green Hills. Make everybody on your list happy with a CD from Steve Conn.
November 23, 2003 Everybody's talkin' . . . wanna know what they're saying? Just check out the December 2003 issue of the Yoga Journal and the Dec/Jan 2004 issue of Blues Revue magazine for reviews of Steve's latest CD. Then, take a look at this December's copy of Performing Songwriter, which features Mr. Conn in its keyboard section of Tools of the Trade.

September 27, 2003 He's everywhere! He's everywhere! Check out the October issue of Keyboard Magazine, which contains an article about none other than the Connman himself. While the article could appear online sometime in the near future, you really should go out and purchase a copy of your own. Glossy magazine photos really are superior to the online version, and you know that this issue is sure to become a collector's edition.
